These wedges are important for the efficient operation and chip formation of your Jointer’s Cutterhead. A smooth top surface is critical for proper chip formation. Smooth and damage-free tapered sides are absolutely necessary to lock the knife safely in the Cutterhead and smooth knife adjustment. Sold in 3-packs.
NOTE: Only fit Jointers manufactured after January 1999.

Upgrade your old cutterhead (if made before January 1999) to the high efficiency Jointer Cutterhead. Efficiencies are gained by a larger diameter head, longer, full-width wedges and less knife protrusion. This combination of features create a smaller easier to cut chip. The New Cutterhead Assembly comes with Knives and wedges assembled. The Bearings installed on the shaft and Bearing Blocks pressed on the bearings. This cutterhead assembly will bolt directly into your old Jointer, ready to set the knives to your tables.
