Bet they are made of particle board.
SS 500(09/1980), DC3300, jointer, bandsaw, belt sander, Strip Sander, drum sanders,molder, dado, biscuit joiner, universal lathe tool rest, Oneway talon chuck, router bits & chucks and a De Walt 735 planer,a #5,#6, block planes. ALL in a 100 square foot shop.

That's right down the street from me! They may not be particle board, that is a very old church they are coming from. I don't have any place to put them though. :(

Ironically, I just saw a listing on a local Freecycle group for free church pews. But the listing stated they were NOT solid wood.

Those are exactly like the ones in the church where my wife and I were married in 1972. Those pews are from the 1950's with the padding added later. Normally, made of walnut or hickory. Great stuff and find. Hope to see some super projects from these. And, I would have one in the shop for napping, reading mags and maybe a coffee buddy. :)
