Note the list of Birthdays for today.
If you click on each one of them you will discover that they all joined four or five years ago (or more) and most have not posted since. Also note that most of them (not all) include a website that you can access. Also note that none of the websites have anything to do with wood working.
Who are these people? I think it is someone attempting to boost the number of times a particular web address is accessed. Why, I don't know but I suspect it has something to do with website ratings.
Also note that you get something completely different when clicking on the last username (Jasonmpf). Joined yesterday and did not post. Has a website that you can visit. Is reportedly from Switzerland.

Re: Birthday Congratulations
Yes they do. When we signed up we had the option of listing our age and birthdate. The list across the bottom of your screen (BIRTHDAYS) is a result of that. If you do not want that information displayed you can opt out by changing your profile.WileyCoyote wrote:Shopsmith has a birthday list of its members?
The downside: Spammers get the same options when they list themselves as members of this forum.
Below is my profile page. NOTE that most of it is blank. Information that I simply do not share (voluntarily or indiscriminately).

You have to be in a board style other than shopsmith or shopsmith1 to see them.WileyCoyote wrote:Shopsmith has a birthday list of its members?
