Model 10ER or 10E Cast Iron Extension Table for sale

Post by chapmanruss »

Here is an interesting item for sale on ebay. It is listed as
RARE STEEL Shopsmith 10er 10e EXTENSION TABLE 3X17" all cast steel
This brings me to the question did Magna try a Cast Iron Extension Table before going with the Cast Aluminum one? Thoughts anyone?

Yours appears to have the same casting mark as the one on eBay. Mine is completely different.

That has always been my assumption. Do you have a copy of the earliest known 10ER manual? If so does it show a cast iron table? That one on eBay is the 4th one (I think) I have heard of.

They apparently didn't sell many of them as they are quite rare.
