Quick Acting Bench Drill Press Vise

Post by putttn »

I'm wondering if I'm missing something about the Drill Press Vise that's on sale now. I use hand screws when I need to hold anything and clamp it to the board I made for the drill press. Seems to work just fine but wondered if this vise did a lot more or better?

I saw this too. I settled on this one instead from Wolfcraft.

The extra clamp that comes with it makes it pretty handy for mounting on the side of a table or workbench. See additional photos of that application.

You get the vice and the extra clamp, which does not appear to come with the vice by itself sold elsewhere that I can find. http://www.shopsmith.com/ownersite/cata ... n_vise.htm

Anyone know whether the "sliding T-Nuts" will work on the 500 table slot?

No because I don't think it is a "T" slot.

Thanks. Is the 510 a "T-Slot"?
