I have purchased a few rebuilt ShopSmith parts from Simon Eng (simon*e) on eBay and been pleased with the products..tadd wrote:Anyone know of a place for servicing Series V head in the San Diego, CA, area?

no specific problems
I have no specific problems. Just I want to keep it in good shape.
Where abouts in the San Diego area are you. I am in La Mesa and have helped numerous locals with their machines.tadd wrote:Anyone know of a place for servicing Series V head in the San Diego, CA, area?
Unfortunately, my energy level varies these days as a result of medical treatments that I am receiving. You may contact me directly at the email below.
Also, I would highly recommend Simon Eng in Orange County. If you go to Orange County craigslist and search Shopsmith, he often has an ad for rebuild services.

That is knot difficult to do. Just clean, wax and lube it.
