10ER Jigsaw Question

Post by derekdarling »

Hi all, just getting around to using the 10ER I picked up recently while I refurb the Mark V. i have a jigsaw that mounts over the headstock and that fits OK. Before I put a blade in it, I wanted to know if there is supposed to be a return spring in the upper part.

thanks,

There is a spring inside the cylinder. Attach the blade to the lower chuck, loosen the spring cylinder knob and let the cylinder slide down until it is on the blade, tighten the allen set screw, then lift the cylinder up to desired tension and tighten the knob.

Jigsaw Spring

Thanks Mark. I just downloaded the Jigsaw manual, and there is the spring in the parts list, big as life!
