What kind of Arbor?

Well, since I bought the new-to-me SS 500 mkV, I've been going trough the machine and resetting clearance, verifying operation, replacing parts, set screws etc....... upgrading a couple of items like the saw guard as well.

I ran across this arbor in my box-o-stuff that came with it.

can anyone tell me what this arbor can be used for please? I'm having trouble matching to the SS Site.

JPG gave you the catalog link. It is the Universal 5/8" Arbor now known as the Molder/Dado Arbor. Yours looks like the second version of four. The name changed while the third version was in production but the part number has always been 505506. In the picture below are the four versions on the bottom row.
