New Measuring Device from iGaging

Post by jsburger »

I got an email from Fine Woodworking today. The iGaging Rollbot. Interesting concept. Not sure how accurate it will be using the arrow as the starting point. Seems like the auto off set when starting and ending in a corner would be more accurate. The price is very reasonable. The link Fine Woodworking supplied says on back order but it is not the iGaging site.

I saw that too. Seems like it would be hard to attain the advertised accuracy of 1/32" but it would be great if you could. I am waiting for someone to do a professional review to see what the probable performance might be.

Seems like it might benefit from a handle, like a wheelwright's traveler.

I got the same email and checked out the iGaging Rollbot. It does seem like an interesting concept, but I can see your point about the starting point accuracy. I'll probably wait for some reviews before jumping in.
