End board routing

I am building a midcentury modern chair for the living room. The plan designer used a Festool domino tool to make floating tenons. Not having that tool, I started out using my plunge router with edge guide. I don’t have a mortising jig. When it came to cutting the mortises in the ends of the seat back slats, the edge guide seemed inadequate. I have a late version of the Shopsmith overarm pin router. I decided to set it up horizontally and clamped stop blocks to define the cut. The length of the board was stopped by the fence. I cut 24 mortises very quickly. A bonus was that the dust collector attaches to the router setup and it was clean and fast. What a great setup!
