The red and black bird looks like a scarlet tanager. They’re rarely seen, as they usually stay high up in the forest canopy.

I think I finally ID’d the little black and orange fellow. His color is a lot like an Oriole, but that was a dry hole. He appears to be a male American Redstart. I’ve never seen or even heard of them, but the range map says that they live in Ohio. I guess I’ll have to start looking up in the trees, instead of just at my bird feeder, as they mostly just eat insects.

I was out for a walk about 40-50 miles farther east yesterday and I couldn't believe it but there was a Scarlet Tanager there too. Got a number of good shots like this one:
