Hmmmmmmm. Seems 'Verde Green' is a slippery thing to find. I swear it disappeared a while ago. I do hope it continues to be available!

I was just given a Green Shopsmith ser #306257 (1955) and hopefully I am in the right place to join the discussion to get it up and running. The cord, two prong, is all cracked and frayed so I guess that has to be my first repair. Then I can see how it runs, if it runs. I did find the 7219830-6 PK Stops Rust Rust-Oleum, 6 Pack, Verde Green on Amazon and ordered it. Wish me luck.

I suggest removal of rust rather than simply stopping it.

Electrolysis/ evaporust.
