I am not a PP owner, but I am eternally grateful to those of you who are. I believe Shopsmith would be insolvent today if not for the cash infusion from the PowerPro owners. Having SS around is a good thing for many reasons, not the least of which is availability of repair parts.

This recent bad batch of components that have cropped up does not deter me. They will isolate the causes and sources with the OEM Manufacturer of those components and resolve the issues of late.

The six years of history since the original release without these sorts of issues speaks volumes to the reliability of the system.

I am very anxious to own one of my own.

4 or 5 years, runs like a charm. I had to open it up earlier this year to rebalance the belt tension. GRreat machine and couldn't conceive of going back to the regular headstock.

I have had mine since Oct 2010 and only have minor issues. Mostly loose screws which were cured with a few drops of blue Loctite.

My PP (serial # 09-01-10) was one of the first fully assembled to be delivered. I had one situation with the band saw which was quickly remedied with a phone call and reprogramming. Have had no problems since that incident. I have used it frequently for routing at 10K rpm without overheating. Generally, my PP is used for sawing, routing and drilling. In the past three years I have acquired two minies. One has my band saw and scroll saw permanently mounted. The second has my jointer and sander permanently mounted. My planer is mounted on a stand. The stand and minies have been employed because of my age (83) and SPT weight not because of PP issues.

I have had mine since January 2013 and have had no problems at all.

I have one (Mark 7 - received just before July 4th - 3 years ago, so I guess it's my anniversary)

No problems of which I am aware (except maybe lack of use by the operator the last 18 months)

I've got one, a new headstock direct from SS. Had it 1+ years. No issues so far.

Given the small number of active users on the forum, I think that is a very significant sample set.
