Quick clamp on miter guge

Post by lalkie »

I have a 510 and having difficulty with the quick clamp on the miter gauge slipping when I set the clamp and squeeze on the miter gauge to hold the wood. It continues slip. Has anyone had this problem and how is it repaired. thanks larry

Set the clamp tighter? Seriously, what is the problem? Pictures help. There is no reason the wood should slip.

Check the assembly of your miter gauge against the owner's manual. There should be a set screw on top of the hold down that secures the safety clamp to the miter gauge handle. Make sure that the screw is tight. If loose it will permit the clamp to rise as you grip the handle and causing a loose grip.
