There were were woodworking multi-machines before (and after) Shopsmiths were introduced. That is one of them, Shopsmiths have been the most successful though.

A bit of digging on the Vintage Machinery site reveals it to be a "Universal Woodworker - 5 power tools in one" manufactured by Emrick Inc. Kalamazoo, Michigan.
