Table made from plywood scraps

Post by wrmnfzy »

My daughter gave me a picture of a table and dimensions she wanted for my grandson’s bedside. She also wanted it to kinds/sorta match the finish on his dresser. Not my best work but made to order with leftovers.

Nice work! I enjoy making small projects that allow me to use up left over wood from my wood pile. The pile gets smaller and the project becomes a useful piece. Win-win.
Some years ago I decided I needed cabinets in my garage. Looking at my wood pile I decided that there was enough left over oak plywood from earlier projects so I could use up the left overs and build the cabinets I needed.
These cabinets are useful, and the wood pile got a lot smaller.

Night stand looks good wrmnfzy. Looks nice and rugged for a young boy’s room.

Gary’s nice cabinet’s, I really dig the Chevy signs and the knobs. Did you make the knobs or are they air cleaner nuts

The knobs are just cut from 3/4" pine.

Very nice. *I can only imagine what your kitchen cabinets look like, with these wonderful oak cabinets in your shop / garage. AND I love the knobs you made. I am guessing you have Chrysler cars? LOL Great job!

To fit the bill, they needed to be Chevy Orange, and I believe it is against the law to paint Oak or any good hardwood. Soft wood was my only "legal" choice. :)
