Oh, that's nice! And I like Art Deco tie-ins. Looking forward to more from you.

Outstanding craftsmanship, Paul ... as usual. I'm looking forward to seeing it with the countertop and art-deco handles installed.

Finished the countertop frame, installed and first coat of finish on. Now it’s on to the light panels and stone for the countertop.

It took several months to find and cut the stone but it finally all came together this week. The panels are onyx with 1/8” tempered glass on top. The lighting underneath the stone involved led light strips attached to 1/8” mirror panels. I am not happy with the lighting yet. It needs to be more diffuse. I am going to make some diffuser panels to go between the led panels and the stone to see if that improves it. I may have to add a lot more led lights to even the light out if the diffuser panels don’t do the job.

The onyx was worth the wait. That’s some of the most beautiful I’ve ever seen ... it looks for all the world like an oceanscape with islands.
