The discovery of an old flintlock gun hidden inside the confines of a tree is producing all kinds of theories, the most popular being that the gun was left in a fork and the tree grew completely around it.

A few years ago they found a Winchester 1873 that a tree had grown around up in the Sierra Nevadas. There has to be some great stories there that will never be told !
