DC3300 with Rigid Jointer
I would like to use the DC3300 with a Rigid planer that has a 4" chute. Went to my local Woodcraft and got what I thought would work, a 4" to 2 1/2 reducer. Only problem is it is the same size of the Rigid chute... 4". Anyone know if there's a larger reducer to fit a 4" chute down to 2 1/2 for the DC3300? Or smaller that would fit inside the 4" chute on the Rigid?

Without seeing Pictures, can you buy a PVC or ABS 4" coupler to fit between the Rigid planer chute and the reducer that you bought at Woodcraft? If knot, can you buy a 4" rubber coupler (with band clamps) to fit in the same space?

Like I said in a previous post, if you take a short piece of 4" dust collector hose and attach it to the planer then attach the adapter to the hose, you should be able to attach the DC3300 to the adapter. I have done this in reverse with a dust collector that has a 4" intake. I used a piece about 2' long, attached an adapter then connected my 520 to the adapter. Good luck.

See if they sell a 2&1/2" hose to 4" OD Quick Disconnect fitting http://www.woodcraft.com/family.aspx?FamilyID=3947
Try it in the store on a machine with a 4" dust chute.
