My SS is back to life....

The strain relief that came with the new power cord will
never fit in the hole in the pan. Need to figure out something for that.

There was an inch of some of the finest dusk I have every seen in the
bottom of the motor pan. Vaccumed that out and blew out that much more
out of the motor....

Very satisfied w/the effort.

One word or two about dust in the motor. We have been cautioned by Nick Engler to always run the motor when blowing dust from it.

..........ok, so....this is probably pretty mundane for most....BUT...
for the first time in 56yrs, the SS is mobile.
It's almost like having a hand tool now.


I know, pretty corny....but you have to take the little times and make them
big times, so the bad times don't seem so bad.....while you're waiting for the big times to return.

I just got my large casters installed. Very nice! You can put them on your wish list.

Haven't been around for awhile. Life happens. Had too many house projects to get done.
A new top for my garage bench.


A new table for my sanders.


Built a flip top cabinet for SS and planer.


Built a true 4 season greenhouse. This was too much fun.


Having way too much fun building band saw boxes.
My latest creation..MC Escher roll top cell phone station.







I have been using SS more and more for sanding boxes.
Disk sander. Got a 1/2" bolt that will accept all my spindle sanding drums.
I fasten it into the drill chuck. Use is horizontal and vertical.
...so, using the quill much more. It's sticky on the return end.
Getting ready to pull it apart and service.
Any quick tips/tricks/ got'chas I should watch for?

Relieve the quill return spring tension SLOOOOWLY.

Get a 1/2" router chuck for that 1/2" bolt rather than the drill chuck.
