Fredsheldon inspired bandsaw/scrollsaw box

Post by STB »

Inspired by Fredsheldons bandsaw post I made a presentation box for the wifes Christmas present out of a cutoff from a fireplace mantel project. Scored many wife points. Thanks Fred.
This is what I come up with.

Very Nice Swampbuster. Did you shape the lid by hand?

Yes the entire outside of the box was shaped by hand. With a little help from a palm sander and curved scrapers

I was looking for a project for next year's Christmas gifts using my sabre/jig saws and I think you have provided me the direction I will be going in.

I hope you don't mind if I copy your idea :)

Very nice looking box!

Both the wood and design are graceful.

Beautiful box, Stumpy!

Is the wood cedar (Juniper)?
