You have to initiate the process to transfer the funds from their 'pocket' to your 'pocket'.

They will point out a balance if it stays in their account long(month+).

Reviewing monthly summary will also flag you.

Point being YOU must initiate transfer back to your account. How convenient for 'them'!

I got the PayPal debit card. I have access to the money instantly. I can use it as a credit or debit card. I can even use my pin at stores and get extra cash back like when using my bank card.

If I don't want it on the card, I can transfer it to the bank account.

I do agree that without the PayPal debit card, getting your funds to your bank can be cumbersome.
