I know I know its not offered by shopsmith but it is a great system. I had an incra ultra and it worked nice but like Jim said I wouldn't like to use it on long boards (to unstable).

Welcome Sandy, I too had a 1960 anv model. I've since sold and purchased a 500 that I upgraded to a 510. Great machine does what ever I want it to and then some. Nice turnings keep up the nice wood work.:)
By the way does your shopsmith turn the opposite direction down under. ha ha

I would check your local library for books and videos first, I have watched several videos from my library for refreshers. Also Norm A of new yankee workshop is doing a series on cabinets right now on pbs http://www.newyankee.com/index.php . I am more less self taught with the exception of wood shop...
