Re: Used Power Pro Headstock

David, Do you think the Power Supply / Control Module the weak point of the PowerPro? Is the dc motor available outside the Shopsmith supply chain? Keep in mind my use will be basically recreational, I will not be using it for profit such as making stuff to sell. So an 8 hour run on any cut, etc. is...

Re: Used Power Pro Headstock

You're saving a few hundred but you're not getting a warranty. Plus, why is he selling it without the rest of the machine? I think I'd pass. This is why I asked. Buying a $300 speed increaser has much lower risk than the $1700 used headstock. That is why I asked about potential service from Shopsmi...

Used Power Pro Headstock

I asked this question at the end of my last post on another thread, then realized it may not get the attention of forum members. I have found a used Power Pro headstock manufactured in 2018. The pictures provided by the seller give the appearance that it is barely used. The set in price to me is aro...

Re: 515704 Router Table Guard parts

Jerry, As Dusty said don't waste your time defending the Shopsmith Tools on other sites. Shopsmith's are either loved for what they can do or hated. You can talk yourself "blue-in-the-face" but you are not likely to change their minds. Enough said about that. As for the parts you are look...

Re: Is it worth it?

The 520 was listed on Facebook Market Place for $600. When I contacted the seller I knew she was tired of looking at it so she took my $450 offer. I knew it was worth the $450 by including the jointer and bandsaw. The 520 table system alone was worth the $450. Pictures are always a crap shoot. When ...

Is it worth it?

I bought a Mark V 520 about a month ago for $450. Drove 2 hrs 1 way to get it. It came with a jointer and bandsaw. Definitely been sitting in a barn for 15 years. Tables and metal with usual corrosion. Been working on getting back to usable condition. Have not looked at the headstock yet, but if the...

515704 Router Table Guard parts

I purchased a 515704 Router Table Guard from a seller on eBay. SS catalog link below. https://www.shopsmith.com/ownersite/catalog/rm_prorouteraccessories.htm (Item A) It arrived with the mount of the broom part damaged. (the part with the bristles) I tried to get the SS customer service lady to tell...

Re: Shopsmith Customer Service Help

I agree, it appears to me that all they are doing is looking at the same thing I see. I look forward to the new web site. A log in feature will be great to save my future purchases to. I hope it has one.

Shopsmith Customer Service Help

About 3 years ago I purchased a 520 of which I needed many parts to make it complete. The customer service for Shopsmith at that time was fantastic. The lady knew what I wanted and how the parts functioned. She could do almost anything. Fast forward to today, after purchasing another 520, and contac...
