I may have missed it but I think you will need to glue up 4 pieces to get 1.5x1.5 from 3/4 inch stock.:rolleyes:

Remember on initial setup alignment is a key consideration. IMHO If it is in good alignment to start with it is easier to keep things square.

couldn't you take two extension tables and reverse one. Then run the tubes into them and see if the tables are level?
