yeah, well I've had a manual for the thickness planer on backorder for a long time now. So I'd say the manuals on the shopsmith site may or may not really be there. If there is an alternative source, I'm interested.

This could of course be good news. Too many customers calling in with orders overwhelming the order desk. How much more of this success can ShopSmith take before they hire more service folks? Oh how I wish (hope) you were right. But my guess is that they cut staff and have fewer people there to ans...

I wonder what effect an extended outfeed table might have? I've wondered this as well. I would think it would make a difference. I always figured the wood was dropping down, but the whole roller pressure explanation does make sense in which case it wound not help. Or maybe a little? I wou...

I don't think the service is very good

I wonder if Shopsmith has any idea how many callers they lose because the callers are tired of waiting in the queue. I have tried several times now to contact customer support. I wait 20 minutes, listening to the awful music loop, and hang up totally frustrated. That is lost business! I wanted to bu...

Yippeee! I finally got a Shopsmith planer

I've wanted one of these for years. I never could afford one. I have had a daily search in Craigslist for more than one year now. Every time it found a planer, the seller had it as part of an entire Mark V system and did not want to part it out. I finally found one. It is old (I'll have to check the...

Equally unfortunately, it is effectively illegal to mention this on this forum. Here, the emperors new suit is always a stunning work of art, impecible and beautiful to behold. None will ever notice what the emperor is really not wearing. I think we should all consider what is written here. I don't...

I think your first contribution is great! It is google who makes this confusing, not you. I managed through it and got my point on the map.

Or, you could just watch for a WoodMaster 6" jointer that fits the mounting posts without any adapting. Harder to come by, but if you can wait, hold out for the 4-knife head instead of the 3-knife head. Tell me about this jointer. Has it been mounted on a shopsmith by someone? Are you sating i...
