I have no idea how to checker them. I love the smoth grips checkering ruins the beauty of the grips if ya ask me. I have rubber checkerd grips i swap on if I need the extra grip.

This one is a Norinco(chinese copy of the 1911) i collect 1911s I have a colt, remington, springfield, rock island, armscore, norinco, an a custom built one from a local gun builder.

Grips are done. SS did 90% of the work. Band saw, Sander, and Drill. Finished them with about 1 part Linseed oil 2 parts Mineral spirits. I like old traditional style of finishing. Got some tweaks and stuff to change to help make it easier safer and a better final product. This is my first "woo...

1911 Grips

Started my 1911 grips today I got them traced, roughed out, and ripped to just little over 1/4 inch today.
