I also have two jointers, three jointer head rests, and two hinge plates. The three jointer head rests I believe to be aluminum, they are not cast. Both hinge plates are cast.
Would like to purchase another hinge plate if anyone has one they don’t need.

There have been a lot of complaints from members of the shopsmith owners group on fb also.
