Re: Sawsmith 2000 Table saw - Replicated some hard to find parts
Cool. (UPDATED 4-17-24)
I'm assuming the material was different that what I have available for printing. I typically use PETG plastic (strong like ABS but UV resistant). However, the parts I'm printing have little torque stress, unlike gears. Impressive!

Over the years, there have been some parts that have broken/failed and are not readily available to purchase as a replacement. I'm a CAD designer by trade, with mechanical and equipment engineerin...

Re: Sawsmith 2000 (not RAS) owner is looking for some parts.
(UPDATED 4-17-24) I've been repairing some of the problem parts you mentioned by reverse engineering and then designing them in CAD and printing them with PETG plastic (strong like ABS but UV resistant) on my 3D printer. (I know the original post was 6 years ago, but in case new folks are coming her...

SAWSMITH 2000 - I HAVE 3D PRINTED UNAVAILABLE PARTS
Greetings, All. (UPDATED 4-17-2024) For anyone who owns a SAWSMITH 2000, you know spare/replacement parts are hard to get. I have a standard MODEL (555530) I've owned for over 20 years (and I got it from my father-in-law when he closed up his cabinet shop.) Anyway, I happen to do 3D CAD design as a ...
