Re: Mounting a router spindle underneath the table

RFGuy, The Google search works well, as described, but here is a tip to make it even better! Type in as below, put a space and then type your search keywords. Adding the site: makes it look specifically at that website. site:www.shopsmith.com/ss_forum router table Works for any site or search terms....

Re: Dust Collection - I can't breathe!!

I am sure the systems you guys are discussing are much higher end, but I just picked up a https://www.rockler.com/dust-right-dust-separator and am using it with a Craftsman ShopVac. I am really happy with the results and the price is great! I also wear a 3M cartridge respirator whenever I am making ...

Router Table and Work Surface for Shopsmith.

I completed my first project that I used a router on, fittingly it is a router table! I wanted something that I could attach to the Shopsmith so it could be stored more easily and to take advantage of the weight and stability of the SS. Another advantage is it is height adjustable. The design was so...

Re: Raised Planter Bed

Thanks guys! Yeah, good idea on the plastic to make a little mini greenhouse. I will have to look into the plastic. Are you talking a thin and flexible plastic film or like harder sheet of plastic w/ some structure to it?

Re: Birdhouses, Finally Finished

John, That is a great idea on the flowers, I bet the wife would like that! I may have spoke too soon on the birds, they definitely started building a nest in it, but I have not seen them for a couple days now. There was a bigger bluebird that was over there and seemed get in a tussle with the bird t...

Re: Birdhouses, Finally Finished

Very nice, thanks for sharing! You have some good ideas I might try to incorporate into my next birdhouse, very cute designs. I built one last Christmas for my Wife, just before I got my Shopsmith, it was the project to see if I would enjoy it. Here is a picture of it after we got it installed in th...

Raised Planter Bed

My wife was super excited and supportive of me getting a Shopsmith. I figured there had to be a catch...the first project she commissioned me to build was a raised bed planter. She found a design by Janet Fox she liked on this site by Ana White. https://ana-white.com/woodworking-projects/counter-hei...

Re: Miter Slot T Washer Fit

Thank you for this post, I was going crazy trying to find one of these as mine was missing when I bought it. I ended up using the knockout from an electrical box. I put a punch mark in the middle, drilled a pilot hole, and then drilled to the correct size hole for my screw. I used a countersink bit ...
