Re: Aluminum pulley wheel protection

Dear Ed, Thank you for the information about this product, and for confirming that I won't need to dilute it in any way. I tried asking the people at ACE hardware and couldn't find any answers, so this is quite helpful, thanks for passing it on. Sounds like your source is a true professional, and gi...

Re: Tool Caddy useing repurposed box panels

I think these tool cadies are very cool, well done! I appreciate re-using items in different capacities. I also have to say that I think these signs are really cool on their own as well. I'd absolutely love one for my man cave. If you'd ever be willing to part with one, I'd buy one from you, and pay...

Re: Aluminum pulley wheel protection

Dear Ed, Thank you very much for posting a reply to this inquiry. That sounds like an ideal solution, especially since there is a lot of rain during the winter (my shop is not weatherized at this time), so protection from humidity is valued. I did look this product up, and as you noted, it is a pain...

Aluminum pulley wheel protection

Shopsmith forum members, I am working on a SS Mark 2 restoration. The guy who had it before me made some interesting modifications. He installed a large aluminum pulley wheel on the top. A SS forum member has shared with me that that was meant to change the speed for wood turning. Getting them clean...

Re: Walnut-crotch bowl

Dennis, This is absolutely gorgeous!!!! Wow, wow wow! You can't go wrong with walnut, it's one of my favorites as well. I have a great interest in turning- it was the reason I got my SS in the first place. This really makes me want to get my SS restoration finished so that I can try my hand at this....

What an amazing offer, Blake! In this world today, it's nice to know there is still some generosity.

Congrats to Stew for grabbing this fantastic opportunity!

Re: Woodworking Customer Humor

Hi JPG, I'll try to provide a quick general synopsis. RF Guy posts a link to a video that is meant to provide us with a few laughs. There's a professional woodworker who sells his work who put this video out- it's meant to be a skit of some of the conversations he's had with customers. The content m...

Re: A project for the birds

One of the members sent me a DM expressing interest and asking for some measurements for the hummingbird nest platform. I have done my best to draw a build plan in case others consider building one of these. The only pieces that are not shown are the walnut trim that wraps around the platform on 3 s...

Re: Woodworking Customer Humor

In this scenario, I realized the other half did not want to hear my full, unabridged response I was more than prepared to deliver- so I ended up saying..... "well I guess they do sell tables at xyz store...but that's where the similarities end...." I look over and the other half's eyes fur...

Re: Woodworking Customer Humor

I think humor is important- so thanks for trying to inject a bit of it into the forum. Most everybody ought to relate to this in one way or another- except maybe those who are devoid of a funny bone, or don't comprehend/appreciate sarcasm. When you inevitably glue/screw the wrong pieces of your proj...
