Re: New to me ....
What is the extra set of step pulleys at the end of motor. From large picture looks like it is attached somehow to way tube. The existing table is used for the jigsaw by changing the insert slot with a hole in center and a cut out running parallel to the ways. Bob It appears the larger pulley is 's...

Re: Replacement Motor for 10er
Ok John
What info do I need to find the bearings, and where can I get them? Took it apart some sawdust, bearing seemed to turn freely??
It seemed the housing was hot not sure the end caps were.
Thanks

Replacement Motor for 10er
The motor that came on my SS get very hot when using the saw. It is 1/2 hp 7 amp A O Smith guessing it is original.
Thinking or replacing it with a grizzly 3/4 hp TEFC model.

Re: A34 jig saw help/advice
Thanks Russ, Didn't think reaction with metal. I just used acetone to clean up most of the parts on the rest of 10er. Some one on 10er group suggested dimpling the metal around the outside insert. I was also going to try that. Another suggestion was to use locktie blue or red but not on threads. Aga...
Re: Jointer
Finding that more hidden goodies. I have a box that has those adapters, plus the one on the jointer. Neither myself or my son are interested in the jointer.
Thanks for all the information.
Mine has been in the family since new, and this second one I acquired for my son.

A34 jig saw help/advice
I have a question on an A34 jig saw I just received. While tightening the blade screw part no 134-14 in lower chuck assembly I though that I had striped the housing. It turned out that the set screw is in a pressed fit bushing. Not realizing this I completely turned it out of housing. Re inserting i...
