Re: Biscuit Joiner

I've had mine for years. Worked great when I have used; however, I have not used it a whole lot. Still have my original bags of biscuits that I bought with it. Used it for the first time in years about a year ago, and it worked great.

Re: Shopsmith Strip Sander vs Standalone Sander

I've had mine since around 1993. Used to use it a lot more then, including the curved platen; I just don't remember what I used the curved platen for; but, I think it was for bandsaw boxes. I used to make them regularly back then. I got away from making the bandsaw boxes, and if I remember correctly...

Re: A Question About the Procedure

Dusty, in my opinion, the point of measurement is soley for consistency , whether that be based on blade runout or spindle runout or whatever. Yes, it is frustrating to tighten the bolts to avoid movement; but that applies to most table saw (or any system that has bolts used to align) systems, not j...

Re: Second 10ER Ready to Use

Looks great. Its is amazing to me how cheap (or free in your case) these 10ER's can be obtained; yet, they are quite the treasure after cleaned up.

Re: Today in the shop (SOYO)

Very nice, Ed. I just started on YoYo making. I made my 1st one about a week ago (I did not have a kit). Getting ready to make another soon. In the meantime, I made a jig for the lathe to see if that works better than the pen mandrel method I used for the first one which didn't look too good, but wo...

Re: I know I said I wouldn't do another scroll/jig saw project ....

Great work. I keep telling myself that I need to make a scroll saw project; but, I never get around to it.
