Re: Shopsmith vs Jacobs MC8K26 Chuck

It doesn't seem to me that there is a question. ;) Shopsmith I have one of each which is better? I am selling my extra unit and thought I would give them a chuck. Dusty replied... "It doesn't seem to me that there is a question. Shopsmith" with a wink. Not sure what the wink means. IMO, t...

[quote="skou"]Reminds me of the old joke; What is "worn" under the kilt? Absolutely nothing! Everything under there is in perfect condition! But still, I'm not watching this "guy" climb the ladder. My OWN "stuff" scares me! Now, back to your PG rated Forum. st...

Re: Machine Height

It is my theory that the twist (if there is any) is because the Base and Headrest were not resting on a flat surface. IMO, the tubes will hardly ever be the cause . It seems to me that you would get twisting on a custom built base and with the SS metal legs. In fact if the base cabinet were built s...

Re: Heads Up - Bargain 'available'

I am thinking I need another SS. Is 4 too many?

Mainly I am looking at the table pieces and the speed reducer.

Re: Leg Stands

The video was filmed in 1998, long before the Shop Deputy was released, I think he just removed the legs and bolted the bases to the cabinet. ;) All a Shop Deputy kit is two shortened tubes and some mounting hardware. True, but the Shop Deputy was introduced after the introduction of the Power Pro ...
