I watched the Sawdust Sessions episode on the planer tune-up. I went over the planer and cleaned everything up ( it looked almost new!). I waxed the table, and walla! Success!

Now with the manual, all I need to do is adjust the table because the boards drift to the right side.

Hi All, I purchased a fairly complete Shopsmith setup off craigslist centered on a 1989 mark V 510 about a year and a half ago. No manuals for the most part.. It came with a power pro planner, again no manual. I used the planner for the first time today, and it seems something is way off. I watched ...

Can anyone make sense of this serial number? It seems to predate the 510, but the photos don't give a clear shot of the headstock.

i hope i didnt do anything wrong. i saw that interesting post on ebay and thought someone could use it. I am in no way connected with that ebay sale.

I called the home office...

The current set screws have brass tips. I ordered several to have extras on hand, along with dust collector bags.

I think I'm set.

I don't know if this is a Shopsmith Arbor or not. It came with the collection from the previous owners.

I don't remember if I tightened the set screw, or if I did. If he did, it is entirely possible he tightened it on the round.

The screw is all steel.
