I was thinking that the chances of me ever using the speed reducer after getting a PP would slim to none.
I have even considered selling my ProPlaner stand and motor to raise funds for the PP. Im just not sure if I want to go back to lifting it on and off of the way tubes again.

Offsetting the cost

I have not upgraded yet, although I really want to. The cost is the only deterrent. It has been mentioned on here already that selling off your existing parts could help lower the cost of the upgrade but that was only in terms of parts within your existing headstock. Some other parts or accessories ...

eBay

I have sold most of the smaller pieces on ebay. Originally, my intent was to sell this 520 setup to a willing owner for a super-entry-level price, thats why I posted it in the Beginning Woodworking section of the forum. I converted it into a mini and added some modifications to make it a beltsander/bandsaw power station with all the discs (conical and flat) mounted within the legs. Th...

520

I am hoping to find someone relatively close that I can hook up with a smoking deal. (NJ isnt that close:) ) I bought the Phenolic table from Jointech then ordered the extrusions from SS. They took so long to arrive that when they did I was already using, and addicted to, another setup. It makes for ...

Shopsmith 520 For Sale---Yuma, AZ.

Gents, I have a 50th Ann. Model 520 that I am ready to part with. I have two setups and (as much as I love two machines) I need to make room for an upcoming PCS move (Military). I listed it locally on Craigslist and, before I break it into parts for sale on eBay, I wanted to see if there is anyone i...
