10E casters

I have finally found myself a set of legs ( minus casters) for my 10E. I happen to have "most of" a pretty rough looking set of MkV casters. How hard would it be to adapt them? Also I am minus one of the cams ( split apart while driving roll pin out) how hard are those individual parts to ...

I just finished my 1954 Greenie...took OEM belt off, I had ordered a new one... there wasnt enough difference to replace it... cant argue with 56 years of service.

What about combining two tools for one stand. Seems as if Sears makes something that rotates tools. Ive been thinking of combining a chop saw and a planer being as both tools woudl seldom be used at once

I made a cabinet with 4 deep drawers on 4 locking casters. It will roll into place against my wall where a set of shelves will be mounted at the same level as my saw to use for longer boards.

Why would you ever what to reverse direction of a "saw blade"? My main thought was to have a reverse for sanding situations on the lathe. However, you do bring out an good point as there were several situations Ive run across in the moulding and millwork business that did indeed call...

The Dreaded 10E Quill Return Spring

OK.. got ready to start putting this thing back together. Quill return spring seemed a little "sluggy" so I took it off and cleaned it out... you got it, POP GOES THE WEASEL! Anyone have any secrets to throwing this thing back together? Im currently taking a "time out" from it. I...

I will double check the plate tomorrow and give you the specs... I THINK it is the OEM motor with the DPDT switch on it... I am assuming that the motor needs to be at a DEAD stop before switching it? Sure makes me want to go out and blow a hundred bucks on a speed control for the old 10E now

Reversing a Motor.

Just got into the "meat and taters" of tearing down my 10E project. I noted a switch by the peckerhead on the motor ... and by golly, its a reverse switch...

How does one go about this? Id love to change my MkV around to that.

Im thinking a little more like this. The real challenge is that wine staves do not have a flat side or 2 parallel edges on them. Ive seen some really nice stuff in the past few months though.
