quill slop??
I have a Mark V 1981 vintage. I notice the quill moves (1/16 IN) back and forth by hand when stationary. Does the ring with the hole puddied in compensate for that? Did it come lose and needs to be loosened up and moved closer to the head stock? Or is it a worse problem?

Re: jointer guard assembly on 1981 jointer
Thank you for the blown up drawing. Got it to work even though I did not have what looked like a lock washer. It worked!!! Thanks a bunch.

jointer guard assembly on 1981 jointer
Have a jointer and can't figure out how the guard is put together. I believe the spring fits in the top part then the washer. Know it screws into nut then put into the table. Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks,
Tom

10er
I have two . One a 10ER and a 10E I believe. Restored both of them and they have speed changers. I can't get $250 a piece for them so far. Loved redoing them but they don't have a market here in Michigan. May part out but breaks my heart.

10er
Mike, I am in Michigan and have a 10ER and a 10E. Both have speed changers and both have been restored. I am asking 250 plus shipping for each. Save you a lot of work and they are awesome to look at too. Don't know how much shipping would be. If I can't sell them for that I will part them out and ma...

cost
I think it is high but it is in awesome condition and a newer band saw. You can certainly find older machines a lot cheaper but the newer ones are higher and it adds up do you want a good running machine or a good looking running machine. I often druel at the newer ones but the older ones function v...

holes in table
Probably for the hoist. The table system on the 520 is extremely solid but darn heavy. Anyone want to buy mine. $400 plus shipping.
