Re: PowerPro Gen 1 to Gen 2 Upgrade Video
I agree. I wish he would have at least finished with the headstock he started the video with, it is same as mine, old style motor mounts. Seems like a lot of work to add the fuse and reset switch. I have never had any overheating problems with mine but haven’t done any routing or extended runtimes. ...

Re: Baking center
If you glue and screw another piece of plywood to the three long runners would that create a torsion box effect?

Re: Double Tilt Upgrade from Lowes
It does hang from the bench tubes, there are no castors. Here are some pictures from another thread. https://forum.shopsmith.com/viewtopic.php?p=233708#p233708. You’ll have to scroll down to get to the pictures, I can’t get the link to jump to the right post. If I remember correctly, when I first bu...

Re: New Generation 2 PowerPro Headstock Touchscreen
My observations after watching the video: 6) My impression is that the new enclosed speed sensor is not applicable to PP1 to PP2 upgrade. The speed sensor cable appears to now enter the motor body, so I'm thinking the speed sensor is now enclosed within the motor rather than under the fan shroud as...

Re: New Generation 2 PowerPro Headstock Touchscreen
I just finished a PP1-to-PP2 upgrade on one of my 2 Mark 7s so I measured the screen. It's 3.75" wide by 2.14" tall, 4.3" diagonally. Give or take a couple of hundredths. FWIW, I think there's way too much empty space in the case for the PP2 display. Probably could have been made sma...

Re: Double Tilt Upgrade from Lowes
Well you beat me with the pics :D . Some days my fingers won’t grip and push the quick release so I use a wrench for extra push. You do disconnect it while it’s fully extended and in drill press mode? I slide everything to the right, tip up to drill press mode and disconnect or reconnect. IMG_3726.j...
