I am getting ready to cut segments for turning a bowl and have a cross cut sled. Has anyone used the Shopsmith cross cut sled to cut segments or altered the sled to cut segments? thanks for the reply. I bought the 510 used and was told the man used it mostly as a lathe. the bearings are clicking when I first start it and slowing down when I shut it off. I will probably pull the quill and replace both bearings they are not very expensive. Thanks Larry

I have a 510 and having difficulty with the quick clamp on the miter gauge slipping when I set the clamp and squeeze on the miter gauge to hold the wood. It continues slip. Has anyone had this problem and how is it repaired. thanks larry
