Commercials

I tried calling Shopsmith this morning and had to go through a number of commercials trying to talk to someone about my saw guard. I am not interested in a medical alert system or a trip to Florida. Has anyone had this problem. It seems they are not dedicating there site to woodworkers. I tried to n...

510 Saw Guard

I have a 510 and appear to be missing part of the saw guard. Facing the saw blade there is an inner guard item number 202 help with dust collection. On the right side there appears to be nothing to assist with dust collection. There are two 3/16 24 thread studs that appears to be used for mounting a...

Cross Cut Sled

I am getting ready to cut segments for turning a bowl and have a cross cut sled. Has anyone used the Shopsmith cross cut sled to cut segments or altered the sled to cut segments? I seen a number of sleds made on You Tube but would prefer to use what I have. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Larry

Table System on Model 510

I have the 510 table system and was adjusting the tables and squaring the tables to the blade. I noticed the floating table is .094 lower than the main table and the end table. Is this normal? I tried loosening the tubes on the floating table thinking they would be mounted in with slots to allow som...

Re: Two Bearing Quill

thanks for the reply. I bought the 510 used and was told the man used it mostly as a lathe. the bearings are clicking when I first start it and slowing down when I shut it off. I will probably pull the quill and replace both bearings they are not very expensive. Thanks Larry

Two Bearing Quill
