Tontine Cabinet Part 2

The top and bottom 4/4 red oak was stop dadoed to receive the 1/4 Aspine tops and bottoms. Then it was fitted with sides. I used 1/4" double sided quarter sawn red oak veneer for the floating panels. IMG_20141215_163433_964 (Mobile).jpg IMG_20141216_145856_478 (Mobile).jpg IMG_20141219_120007_4...

Tontine Cabinet Part 1

This Fall I was invited to join the 119th Fighter Wing WSO (Weapons Systems Officer) Tontine Committee. My Wing, the 119th - The Happy Hooligans flew numerous two seat fighters for 40 years, the last before we got F16s being the F4. We also flew T33s. As the Wing Chaplain I took my share of rides, e...

Re: Framing Vise

That's really a nice addition to your shop. I am going to keep my eye out for one of those at the tool auctions. Thanks for posting.

Re: Sawdust

I got the pics uploaded. Below is the HEPA machine in the rafters. IMG_20150324_152630_683 (Mobile).jpg Here is my 4" system with the 10 micron bag above. Note the additional trash can to drop catch any metal or other particles the could damage the impellers. I use a remote control 110V plug-in...

Re: Sawdust

Couple of suggestions. [I would have posted a picture, but I am having trouble getting it uploaded]. I purchased from one of the big box outlets a HEPA filter unit that I mounted in the rafters of my shop. When I am doing really dust making stuff, like running a router, I will turn it on one of it's...

Re: Mucking About With the Molder

I haven't been online with the forum in a while because I have been working on a Tontine cabinet for the 119th Fighter Wing WSOs (Weapon Systems Officers/Navigators). I was a member of this Wing during my military career. I will post more pictures when it is done, but what caught my eye was this dis...
