Universal Lathe Tool Rest min spindle length
With the recent conversations about the lathe universal tool rest I’ve been considering a purchase. For those who have one, can you advise the min spindle length it will handle?

Don't know why I'm so bothered by the swap of "smart motor" for "headstock" but I am. Guess I'm just an old codger who doesn't deal well with change!

One of the benefits of the spiral cutter head noted on the Sheartak website is that the cutters don't require sharpening. Can't believe this is true, perhaps they are claiming this because the individual cutter blocks can be rotated up to 3 times to expose fresh cutting surfaces? Does anyone know wh...

I also use the original GRR-RIPPER in conjunction with the riving knife accessory when ripping on my Shopsmith. It’s especially good for ripping pieces 3” wide or less while keeping your hands out of harm’s way. Setup correctly it anchors both the piece run against the fence and the piece being cut ...
