And I thought mesquite was only for the grill. Those are beautiful.

Those are great. What are the approximate dimensions?

Beautiful wood! I’ve never seen that type of bandsaw box, only the ones with drawers.

Do you have any in-process photos that show how it’s done? I assume that you shell them out and re-glue the bottoms, in which case there must be a seam somewhere on the sides. And maybe rabbet the lids with a router?

Beautiful work. You must've started with a good sized log. The grain continuity is nicely preserved. Very well done.

Beautiful! Mesquite is truly beautiful. I have some curing now. I hope mine will look as good as yours!

The dimensions are approximately 8" X 7" X 5 1/2.
The boxes were not cut to a dimension or pattern the shape and dimension were determined by the wood grain & inclusions .

I cured the rounds with the bark on and painted the ends with a very heavy coat of latex to prevent splitting. They were left to dry for about 3 years. One tip. I think due to the narley grain pattern the wood will move about 1/4 of an inch after being cut and in different directions. So try to glue the bottom and side cut the same day the band saw box is cut.
