The extension table brackets are a must have if you want to take your Shopsmith to the next level. With 3 sets you can create a near 4 ft in feed table and a near 8 ft out feed table which makes it extremely easy to cut 8 foot sections of custom moldings. These brackets turn the Shopsmith into the most feature packed stationary router and shaper system that I've ever seen. And when it comes to the table saw the options are limitless. They can also be used to widen the drill press table as far your imagination and budget can take you. With enough legs, tubes, and brackets everything is possible including one person cuts of 5'X10' plywood sheets without the worry of loosing control. I've even used this table system combined with a very simple jig to cut large circular table tops using the overhead router configuration. There's nothing else out there in the world that does this. When you stand in front of this machine the only thing that limits you is your imagination.

The product is high quality and assembly is a snap. I felt the instructions were lacking a little when telling how to assemble for a 510 vs a 520 table. But once you go to install them you can see what is needed. The tube supplied with the brackets is a bit short in my opinion. It only works as the tube used away from the table. You need extension tubes at the table end.

It’s not their fault I had an interesting time figuring out how they work- Should have read the included instructions. After I finished with the fine tune adjustment, they have remained in adjustment. They serve me very well

This accessory is so useful I can argue it should be part of the standard Shopsmith Mark V/7 packages. It is very easy to assemble and deploy. It eliminates one notable disadvantage the Mark V/7 table saw has over large stationary saws, which is having much lesser table depth for supporting work at the in- or outfeed. It is particularly helpful when making beveled cuts on the Shopsmith, where the table rather than the blade is tilted and feed rollers do not tilt to match. I do not happen to notice the included extension tube to be undersized as one reviewer discovered. I found it very sturdy, stable, and solid when attached and supported with the adjustable extension legs. I can commiserate with comments regarding price, but I can also assure that the parts themselves are absolutely top quality. You'll get what you pay for.

Extension tube is about an inch to short which is very annoying and not safe and makes the extension tube useless. this accessory while it works well is overpriced as is most of what Shopsmith sells.

These really work great, although I disagree with the advice to have the infeed table slightly higher and outfeed lower when making non-through cuts or the depth of cut with change as you board sees different heights. The advice is good for through cuts. I marked each bracket as in-feed or out-feed so they are preset and quick to install. If you have 4 floating tables already, this is a better/cheaper solution than buying support tables.
