Thanks for the resources. I'm also searching for a solution to cleaning up the way tubes and other surfaces, as well as preventing aluminum and steel corrosion from coming back. Any recommendations here?

Guys here have tons of way tube fixes. From PVC tubes to sanding etc. Depends on the state of them really. If not pitted and just a surface rust then a 400+ sandpaper up to 800 will do. If pitted and really rotten then guys here have done amazing things with evaporust. Search way and bench tube and you will find them up to and including polishing techniques with polishes and waxes.
