Robert Sorby precision chuck

Post by brunutt »

Does anyone have any information on this chuck. I received one with a shopsmith i bought a couple of months ago. It came in a cardboard box with no instructions, sure has been fun stumping people on how it works. I sure don't even know how to use it, any help would be appreciated. you can see it on ebay auction #180284731544. I will try to attach a picture if i can figure it out.

Thanks For the help

Bruce

Tim,
Thank you for posting the Robert Sorby site. An amazing assortment of lathe tools and accessories. Amazing to watch the video's. I was not aware of the threading or how it was accomplished. You can learn more here by accident that you can by design.
Regards,
Dwight
