Upper Sheaves sticking?

Post by twolukes »

My 510's upper sheaves were stuck together at low speed, so I broke it down, lubed everything and reassembled. Everything was working fine. Two weeks later, when I advance the speed, it gets hard to turn at about G speed, then I get a BANG, and it goes fine up to FAST. I re-lubed without taking it all apart again, but it didn't fix it. If I stay above G... no problems; so I suspect that the fixed and control sheave are sticking together at low speed. Any suggestions?

Did you by any chance also to all that to the 'lower' floating sheave?
