ME! I never wanted to be a cowboy and still don't want it today. I grew up on a cattle ranch and had to ride the pastures every day on a horse from the time I was 5 or 6 years old. Somebody had to bring the cows in from the pastures and I was the oldest boy in the family so I got the job. And I was getting ready to order something from Amazon just to get my hat. (Box).

I grew up that way too, cowboy work is hard work and there is nothing romantic about it. All day in a saddle is just ... well, work! LOL

Saddle sores. When you have to spend 12 hours a day in the saddle for days on end, it starts to hurt.
Back in 1967, I spend 3 days in the saddle for 12 hours a day riding a 36 square mile pasture looking for 500 cows and 1500 sheep in the aftermath of a Wyoming blizzard to save as many critters as possible.
