Thank you, Ed. I learn something new every day. I did not know, until just now, that by going to Order Status via the Home Page status was available without knowing the PO#.

I seldom use the Home Page. Maybe I need to spend some time there to see what else I don't know.

and

you can also get to your order status this way: http://www.shopsmith.com/ownersite/faq/ ... usform.htm
I sent in an order last week and can't get my order status using your link because the order number they gave me is 3 digits longer than allowed in the field on the site. I wonder if they might be making some software changes that cause issues like this.

The link has been working for me. Been checking my order status for the past few days to see if it has shipped. Sadly it has not according to the link. Sometimes that link has not updated my shipping status until after I had received the order.

But a typical PO# is only 11 digits long (including the periods). The allocated space for a PO# on the website is - 11 digits. Gets me.

Typical doesn't help my situation because the PO# Shopsmith gave me is 14 digits and that doesn't fit their site.

That was my point. You report having a PO# that is atypical. Maybe you copied it wrong or maybe they read it wrong or maybe the website needs to be updated. All supposition. Call Shopsmith.

If other people are occasionally getting wrong numbers, that says that their software is generating bogus numbers when the orders come in.
I emailed Shopsmith today, and they sent me a totally different order number that is correct and tracable in the system. So, all is well now that I have the correct number.

I also received the long number for an order. I was not sure if it was a preliminary number since I was ordering off their inventory sale and they were not sure of quantities of items on the sale. I found that I could look up my order number and check the status by going to my home page then to the order status and history page.
