The stand was wired with a switch, plug and wire from another era. I replaced it all with grounded wire. I loved the old switch, but it had to go. The rear wheels were solid rubber. I spun them on my lathe and trued them up and buffed a shine on them. They look new. I also put new rubber paws on the front legs and leveled the stand.
I mounted the motor and used a link belt. I will probably replace that as I have found they can eat pullies.
All I had to do to the saw was give it a coat of Johnson's Paste Wax like I use on my SSs. Here are a couple of shots of the original decal.
Finally the original instruction booklet with replacement parts list on the back. The stand cost $7.85. Most of the parts are under a buck.
The oil tank on this saw has an access plug beneath a warning decal to not run without oil. I pumped the old out - it was red with age - flushed it then added 5W grade oil.
I painted the stand, carefully masking the decal. It had been painted once before, but needed to be touched-up. I painted the light pole and pin-stripped it with green on both sides.
The saw came with it's original allen wrench for mounting blades.84 yr. old Delta Scroll Saw Part 2
